Tim Johnson
Tim Johnson is currently the Director of Sales and Marketing for Jim Thompson America, the luxury textile company that grew out of its American founder’s deep appreciation for Thai silk and eye for its importance in the global market. As the head of sales and marketing, Johnson manages approximately 100 sales reps that bring the brand to interior designers and architects. Jim Thompson is the largest producer of hand-woven fabrics in the world and has recently expanded into wallpaper.
Raised in Kentucky, Johnson joined Heinsmith Interiors after graduating from the University of Kentucky in Lexington in 1988. A year later, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to become the store manager of Currey & Co. Johnson, went on to work for Jerry Pair and Associates and the storied wholesaler Brunschwig & Fils.
